New Badge for Govt Apps!! Google showing action in the Play Store!!

Google Play Store : Google is rolling out a new initiative to download government apps from the Google Play Store.

Google keeps coming up with new initiatives to keep users engaged. Now, Google is going to bring a new feature to the Play Store as the next step. That is, Google is coming up with a new label for official government apps on the Play Store to make them easier for users to find.

According to Google, the reason for this is that there are many scams targeting users who download fake apps like government official apps.

Especially now when downloading important government apps like mAadhaar, Digi Locker and mParivahan, the pop-up message that comes when touching the gray tick contains the information that the app is affiliated with a government agency so that users can trust the app. Offices can be downloaded.

In general, government-provided apps tend to have a slightly higher level of trust among users. So if we are downloading fake apps then we don’t know it is fake app. Also, after downloading, we will associate our personal information with those apps.

This makes it more likely that those people who are entitled to that office can steal and misuse our information. Also, many such scams have taken place. To prevent this, Google is now planning to introduce this program in India.

If it is an official account on social platform X then there will be a blue tick next to the name and also next to the government apps.
